Sankie Trussell, Jr.

Sankie Trussell, Jr., 75, of Butler, GA passed away Saturday, December 15, 2018 at his home. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at 2pm at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will be private.

Sankie was born August 21, 1943 in Reynolds, GA, to the late Sankie and Lucille Coulter Trussell.  He was one of nine children and attended Reynolds High School prior to enlisting in the United States Air Force.  He spent most of his years working as a sewing machine mechanic at several manufacturing plants before his retirement. He enjoyed fishing with his nephews and spending time with family.  He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and cousin.  He was a loving, kindhearted soul who had a smile for everyone he met.  He was a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Dorothy Bone, Anne Jackson, Eugene Trussell, James Trussell, John Trussell, Janett Rodgers, and Connie Giles.

He is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Vicki Moss Trussell; daughters, Mari (Tom) Mullis of Milledgeville, Faith (Chuck) Lightcap of Powder Springs, and Keri (Chris) Mason of Reynolds; sons, Ray (Lea) Guy and Jason (Shalonna) Guy, both of Butler; grandchildren, Regan Mullis, Ryan Mullis, Elijah Lightcap, Malachi Lightcap, Delaney Mason, Taylor Mason, Cody Guy, Brandon Guy, Kelcea (Victor) Valle, Kaitlin Guy, Brett Guy, Jakob Guy, Kyleigh Hobbs, and Skylar Hobbs; great grandchildren, Aiden and Easton Valle; sister, Linda (Charlie) Kare; and numerous nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and cousins that he loved dearly.
