Carolyn F. Collins

A memorial service for Carolyn F. Collins, 79, of Roberta, will be held  2:00 pm Saturday, February 22, 2020 at Roberta United Methodist Church.  Burial will be private.  Carolyn passed away on Saturday, February 15, 2020, just 10 days short of her 80th birthday. 

She was a longtime member of Roberta United Methodist Church and believed in practicing her faith through service.  Many folks in Roberta have sampled her cooking and hospitality.  Carolyn spent much of her life involved in early childhood development both professionally and as a volunteer.  She was a devoted friend and neighbor and her family was always the most important thing to her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Helen Malloy Wright; two sons, infant Collins and Greg Collins; and a sister, Sandra Giles.

Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Kermit Collins of Roberta; three sons, Vallie Collins (Sarah) of Roberta, Robbie Collins (Ana) of Clemons, NC and William Collins of Roberta; two sisters, Judy Patton (Erv) of Roberta and Ruth Tarlton (Max) of The Villages, FL; four granddaughters; one grandson; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
