Funeral services for J. Willard Wilder, 83, of Reynolds will be held on Wednesday, May 3, 2023, at the Reynolds First Baptist Church at 11:00 am. The family will be receiving friends from 10:00 am until the service hour. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. Willard passed away on Monday, May 1, 2023, at LifeSpring Church Home in Peach County.
He was a member of the Reynolds First Baptist Church where he had served as a deacon. He retired as service manager from Brannon Ford in Byron after working there many years. After retiring, he worked with McLeighton Funeral Service for over 10 years.
He was born May 6, 1939, to the late John Franklin Wilder and Elizabeth Hancock Wilder and was preceded in death by one brother, Donald Wilder; and one sister, Glenda Windham.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Joyce Wilder of Reynolds; two sons, Barry Wilder (Teresa) of Tellico Plains, TN and Glenn Wilder (Jennifer) of Reynolds; one brother, Joe Wilder (Jeanette) of Reynolds; two grandsons, Nicholas Eddy of Augusta and Will Wilder of Reynolds; one great-granddaughter, Peyton Eddy of Augusta; several nieces and nephews also survive.
