A memorial graveside service for James Hallie Taunton, 76, of Butler will be held on Friday, January 7, 2022 at 1:00 pm at Bethel Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Hallie passed away Monday, January 3, 2022. He was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack Dempsey Taunton and Leola Peacock Taunton; his wife, Laverne Taunton; a son, Randy Taunton; and a grandson, Justin Taunton.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Hudgens Taunton of Butler; one son, Darryl Taunton (Anna) of Moultrie; one daughter, Wendy Lynn Taunton of Macon County; one brother, Cecil Taunton (Gail) of Reynolds; two sisters, Brenda Hobbs (Earl) of Ellerslie and Wanda Ussery (Randy) of Savannah; two grandchildren, Jack Taunton and Lucy Taunton; two great-grandchildren, Taylor Taunton and Carley Taunton.
