John Theus

Graveside services for John Theus, 83, of Reynolds will be held 11:00 am, Wednesday, March 18, 2020, at Bethlehem Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Reynolds, GA.  John passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2020 at his home.

 He spent nine years in the National Guard.  He loved his church very much and served on the Bethlehem Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery Committee.  He worked at Bluebird Body Company, Fort Valley, GA, and later retired from Robins Air Force Base in Warner Robins, GA in November 1990 after thirty years of service.  He later worked at Chipman-Union Company in Potterville, GA with Sandy Brand.

 John was the son of the late Henry B. Theus and Ethel Leona Duncan Theus.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Lena Evans and Helen McInvale and his wife, Ruby Joiner Theus.

 Survivors include three children, Mike Theus of Butler, Barbara (Jim) Marcoux of Griffin and Steve (Samantha) Theus of St. Simons Island; nine grandchildren, Thomas, John, Knox, Isabella, Zachary, Cassie (Ben), Malachi, (Lauressa), Patrick and MacKenzie (Lainey); as well as eleven great-grandchildren, Rhiley, Nolan, Nate, Gannon, Ella, Aura, Harrison, Fallyn, Daisy, Melina and Fiona; one brother, Lamar (Anne) Theus of Butler and one sister-in-law, Linda (Stan) Poole of Ideal; and loving nieces and nephews.

 The family will receive friends at Linda Poole’s residence, 2819 Brooks Road, Ideal, GA  31041.
