Kenneth "Ken" Young

Funeral services for Kenneth “Ken” Young, 81, of Knoxville, GA will be held on Thursday, August 4, 2022, at 11:00 am at Roberta Evangelical Church.  Burial will follow in Roberta City Cemetery.  Mr. Young was born in North Carolina to the late William McKinley Young and Ollie Lindsey Young.  He moved to Georgia at the age of 19 where he found the love of his life. He was a faithful member of Roberta Evangelical Church.  He was a hard-working farmer and loved fishing, but mostly he loved his family. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Hubert Young and a sister, Patsy Mead.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years,  Sue Marsh Young; four children, Terri Cooley (Larry), Pat Bloodworth (Mike), Kenny Young (Tia) and Ashley Howard (Joey);  ten grandchildren, Amanda Puckett (Craig), Leighton Cooley (Brenda), Courtney Woody (Jones), Lindsey Spillers (Justin), GeorgAnne Vogt (Jeremy), Michael Bloodworth, Faith Spires (Nathan), Kaden Howard, McKinley Howard and Knox Howard; fifteen great-grandchildren, Judd Puckett, Adalynn Puckett, Lawson Cooley, Lane Cooley, Ledger Cooley, Laurey Grace Woody, Lily Woody, Beau Woody, Emmy Woody, Abigail Spillers, Anabelle Spillers, Amelia Spillers, McCoy Vogt, Madilynn Sue Vogt, and baby Spires who will be arriving soon; two brothers, Junior Clyde Young (Mildred) and Willie Young (Judy); and a sister-in-law, Nina Young; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

The family will be receiving friends at Roberta Evangelical Church on Wednesday from 6 to 8 pm.
