Linda Kare Obituary
Funeral services for Linda Sue Trussell Kare, 74, of Butler will be held on Friday, March 24, 2023, at 2:00 pm at the First Baptist Church of Butler. Burial will follow in Bethel Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Linda passed away on Tuesday, March 21, 2023.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church.
In her early years, she was co-operator of J.E. Bone Construction and Building Supply. Later, she took her passion for flowers and making things beautiful and started her own business named Special Times. She was also co-owner/ operator of EZ Express Tax and many other businesses with her husband, Charlie.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Sankie Trussell and Lucille Coulter Trussell; her first husband, Jimmy Bone; grandchildren, Bailey Eubanks, and Jake Pounds; and eight siblings.
She was a loving matriarch of her immediate and extended family. She loved gardening and shopping for her grandchildren. Her favorite moments were spent with family. Her children and grandchildren were the light of her life.
Survivors include her husband of thirty six years, Charlie Kare of Butler; two sons, Jeb Bone (Mandy Garcia) of Butler and Gene Kare of Forsyth; four daughters, Gina Bone (Kelli Covington) of Columbus, Michelle Pounds (Russell) of Butler; Holly Scott (Craig) of Butler and Eve Starling (Larry) of Mauk; grandchildren, Cody Kare, Shawn Kare, Erin Scott, Courtney Johnson, Rus Pounds, Abbi Bone, Jamie Kay Scott, Jimmy Bone IV, Larry Starling, Kaileigh Bone, Levi Pounds, Zack Starling, Alex Bone, Jenna Kare, Lucas Covington; one great-grandson, Wade Pounds; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Thursday from 6 to 8 pm at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, Pancreatic Cancer Research Foundation, or First Baptist Church of Butler.
