Funeral services for Maxlyn Williamson, 88, of Butler, will be held on Sunday, December 14, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Butler. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the service hour at the church. Burial will be private.
Maxlyn passed away on Wednesday, December 10, 2025. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Butler for many years, where she retired as church secretary. In her earlier years, she served as secretary for the Clerk of Court office and later as Clerk of Court.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mack and Mildred Hobbs Miller; her husband, James Williamson; and her brother, David M. Miller.
She is survived by one son, Jimmy Williamson (Beth) of Reynolds; one daughter, Tonya W. Johnson of Butler; six grandchildren, Amanda Watson (Collier) of Columbus, Daniel
Williamson (Kelli) of Greenville, SC, Cherish Wainwright (Denton) of Reynolds, Blake Williamson (Mesa) of Gray, Nathan Williamson (Chasity) of Reynolds, and Skyler Johnson of Butler; nine great-grandchildren; and two nieces and one nephew.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Butler.
