Melodye Brooks Forbes

Funeral services for Melodye Brooks Forbes, 62, of Reynolds will be held Friday, January 14, 2022, at 11:00 am at Bethel Congregational Methodist Church.   The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.   Burial will follow in Union Cemetery.  Melodye passed away on Monday, January 10, 2022, at Peach Regional Medical Center.

 She was a member of Bethel Congregational Methodist Church and enjoyed farming with her husband.

 She was preceded in death by her parents, Bobby Brooks and Helen Hamby Brooks Peed; and a brother, Al Brooks.

 Survivors include her husband, Harry Forbes, Sr. of Reynolds; one son, Harry Forbes, II (Becky) of Reynolds; one brother, Jack Brooks (Susan) of Butler; one sister, Robin Brooks of Butler; her stepfather, Lester Peed of Butler; two grandsons, Eli Forbes and Isaac Forbes of Reynolds; several nieces and nephews also survive.

 In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bethel Congregational Methodist Church, 1516 Thomaston Highway, Butler, GA  31006.
