Tommy Smith

Funeral services for Tommy Smith, 88, of Reynolds will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2023, at 2:00 pm at Taylor Mill Baptist Church.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Mr. Smith passed away on Saturday, August 19, 2023.

He was a member of Taylor Mill Baptist Church where he had served as a deacon for many years.   Mr. Smith proudly served his country as a paratrooper in the United States Army.  He owned and operated several businesses including Smith and Smith Feeds, Taylor County Livestock, Village Seafood Restaurant, as well as several other businesses.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Alvin Smith and Mavis Purser Smith; his wife, Pat Smith; a son, Steven E. “Steve” Smith and a grandson, Cam Smith.

Survivors include one son, Tommy Smith, Jr. (Kathy) of Cochran; one daughter, Allyce Lankford (Charles) of Mexia, TX; three grandchildren, Bryan Lankford (Lorena) of Baytown, TX; Sandy Lankford of Thornton, TX, and Nicole Smith (Jamie) of Cochran; five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Taylor Mill Baptist Church.
