Funeral services for Virginia Helms Eubanks, 91, of Reynolds will be held on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at 2:00 pm at the First Baptist Church of Reynolds. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Entombment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. Mrs. Eubanks passed away on Sunday, January 29, 2024.
Originally from Thomaston, Georgia, she moved to Reynolds in 1960 after marrying the love of her life, Ralph Eubanks. Together, Virginia and Ralph opened Reynolds Motor Company, which they operated side-by-side. Virginia and Ralph had two children, Ricky and Cathy, who gave her her most prized possessions, her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
As a devoted grandmother, or Maw-Maw as her grandchildren lovingly called her, she was the first in line to attend every sports game or event that her grandchildren were involved in. Often, she would be the loudest voice in the stands cheering on the team. She could regularly be found enjoying the outdoors. Having family and friends over to enjoy the pool while soaking up the sunshine was one of her favorite things to do.
Throughout the years, Mrs. Eubanks was actively involved in her community and held numerous positions including serving on the Taylor County Board of Tax Accessors, Family Connections Board, and working the local voting polls. She was also an active member of Reynolds First Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Albert Helms and Irma Bussey Helms; her husband, Ralph Windham Eubanks; and three brothers. She is survived by one son, Ricky Eubanks (Donna) of Reynolds; one daughter, Cathy Tedder (Robert) of Reynolds; three grandchildren, Brittany Wainwright (Daniel), Dalton Tedder (Hope), and Sandra Divine (Bo); three great-grandchildren, Wells Wainwright, Harper Divine, and Hayes Divine and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Reynolds.
